Question: Should i buy a used '07 hyundai sonata gls with 11,000 miles for $11,000?

I can only afford to put like $5, 000 down. I'm not sure if I want to go buy a $19, 000 new car because the loan would be too much. I saw that used car at Chevy dealership. It's a former lease car. |

Not going to touch that question with a 10 foot pole. would never tell you to buy a vehicle. However here are some readily attainable facts: Kelly Blue Book site lists the suggested price as possibly as high as $12,000. However Edmunds lists these as going for less than $11,000. But you need to get a CARFAX report to see if it has had any significant events (crashes, maintenance, etc.). The dealership should have this available for you. As an off-lease vehicle you should be able to get the maintenance history and ensure it has been maintained properly. |

The Sonata is a good car. The low miles is a positive aspect. The off lease status means you should be getting a decent car. The price is average. If you are serious about the car, go inspect it, drive it and discuss the car with the dealer. Ask for the Carfax report. This car should still be covered under the manufacturers warranty so check into that as well. Buying a car that comes with a free factory warranty is a very good thing. Be careful with your budget. Do not spend more than you can afford. Get your loan from a Credit Union or local bank, not the dealer. |

Yes, I believe ou are getting a gr8 deal...PLUS, with 5,000.00 down...your payments would be low...like 219 a month, I think...depends on your credit. It's like, a thousand dollars a mile ...yes...its a good deal. |
