I have a 2006 hyundai sonata gls and the car died! What could be wrong?
I entered the highway about 50 60 MPH. Suddenly, the car decelerated to about 10MPH, and the ESC and Check Engine lights came on. I'm thinking its and enging or transmission issue. I have a 2006 hyundai sonata with an obd code of P0230 "Fuel pump primary circuit malfunction".?
What part s specifically are likely to be malfunctioning ? Just the pump or the relay as well, or sender etc. Want to know exactly what to buy to fix my problem.

I went to two different shops and they tried to rebuild it but they couldnt, they said that they are missing a piece only the dealership has. I look online and i find a 2006 hyundai alternator for my car, should i get it or take it to the dealer since its still under warranty. Also when they rebuild a alternator do they replace any parts if so will that void my warranty. I was also wondering that it only took me 2 minutes to find a alternator they say that was from the manufacturer, why couldnt they do the same.

I know they interior blows the 2006 ones away. Is the suspension a bit more hard? Every time my brother turns the car at 15 mph their's body roll The seats are poorly bolstered So, the 2009 ones any better? My dad's 2005 Accord and my mom's 2009 Odessey suspension is amazing

Im having a real hard time trying to choose a car. I heard that the engine trans of the Mazda6 is made in MI and the Sonata is made in Korea. Well as they unfortunately say, usa made cars aren't as good as foreign made ones. I need help with pros and cons of both. i have done a lot of research on Edmunds.com but still would like some more info from people that own either one.I mean 2009 Hyundai Sonata not 2006Thank you for all the great info on both cars. 2006 Hyundai Sonata.. Key won't turn?
My fiance parked his car and then shut it off. He forgot to put the windows up so when he went to turn the car back on yes, it is in Park the key wouldn't turn at all. Not to On, Start, or Acc. The wheel is NOT locked either. Any ideas? Battery isn't dead I don't think. The chime that lets you know the key is still in the ignition after the car is off still chimes.He has tried turning the wheel to the right and left while turning the key in the ignition. Nothing. The tires and the steering wheel are actually straight. Just went out and checked on him again. He has locked the steering wheel trying to do this, so its definitely NOT that problem. We've tried pushing on the brake pedal, too... Maybe he needs a new ignition?We got some WD 40 and sprayed some into the ignition, not expecting it to work. It did Starts up like new, now So I guess we WONT be getting the cylider replaced.

2006 Hyundai Sonata fuel gauge problems?
I'm having a problem and not that familiar with Hyundai vehicles...I know it uses drive by wire for acceleration and I know it " zeros" all the gauges when you take the key out...another thing I'm not familiar with all the cars I've driven before the gas temp gauges would read correctly with or without the key.So here's the problem When it's filled up, the gauge reads about 2 3 of a tank even though the pump says it's full I actually went back to the gas station thinking the pump shut off early but could only add less than one gallon ...what possabilities are there? The sender? The instrument panel? Some strange little known computer between them?Still waiting for the dealer to call back, I called this morning right after they opened but nobody would answer the phones...As far a I know, it's reading correctly below the 2 3 mark, I try to est. how much gas it takes to reach full using the trip odo and est. fuel economy to compute gallons...At 2 years 13,000 miles it shouldn't have these problems...

Ok, on the way home today, I planned to stop for gas...while I was waiting for the light to turn into the station, the Check Engine light came on so I doubled back to Advance Auto and borrowed their scan tool.Here's what it showed on the display Stored P0456Pending P0456I'm not familiar with their tool and hesitated to try and clear it or do anything else...my parents have a CanOBD2 scantool so I have the software on my laptop still, I looked up the code and here's the definition " Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected very small leak " After I found out what it was, I went ahead and filled up the tank...seems to be something with no immediate danger but should probably be addressed.Anyone know what may be causing it? I've read a number of forums where people go to the shop and have many things replaced without any result mine is under warranty still but I can't afford the time I'm a full time student to keep running back to the dealer.The car has about 14,000 miles on itI don't think it was the gas cap, I hadn't opened the tank yet and it was fine for 9 days.Also, when I filled up I know the pump shut off a couple times...not sure if that's related or just that there were a lot of people pumping...I should clarify...I filled it up last 9 days ago today was the 10th day and it was fine all 9 days. I've never had this problem before.
