I have a 2000 hyundai sonata v6.the check engine light popped on.had it checked and I was told it was ok.HELP?
I have a 2000 hyundia sonata v6 and the check engine light popped on..... so I had it checked and I was told it was an emissions problem that was not a big concern... well the car runs fine..... until i fill up with fuel.... then it has trouble restarting?????? does anyone have a clue why this is occuring???

The Breaklights in my 2000 Hyundai Sonata are always on when the headlights are on?
When my headlights are off the break lights operate properly, but when I turn my headlights on the break lights remain on constantly, including the dashboard light. The lights are really bright at night and it's impossible to tell when I'm breaking. This has become a real problem because I can no longer drive my car at night. I also cracked a headlight and the bulb inside after a recent fender bender. The break light problem wasn't discovered until several weeks later. Is it possible that the problem with the break lights is a result of the fender bender?My Mom suggested that it might be a fuse problem. I also tried searching Y A, but no other question fits mine close enough. Also, the horn sometimes works. I've checked the horn fuse to see if anything was wrong with it. Someone told me that it's most likely an electrical problem caused by a loose wire. So can the problem with my horn also be related to the problem with my lights?Thanks bunches That is true, I did replace one of the brake light bulbs over the summer. I may have installed it incorrectly. Thank You.

I have a 2000 Hyundai Sonata. It has a start problem but it has also been sitting for about a year or so. Help?
The details My daughter used it for a few years but gave it back because it was a 4 cyl and didn't have the power she wanted. I used to start it up and drive it around a bit until one day when I went to start it it wouldn't start. I used our battery charger and got it going and drove it around. Then when I came home and turned it off it wouldn't start again. FINALLY, my husband looked at it and the brackets that go around the battery knobs were broken. By this time it had been sitting a long time. He replaced the battery and the leads. Put new gas and the gas additive in and it won't start. It cranks over or tries to. He then used starter fluid and it starts for about 30 seconds and then dies. What is anyone's best guesstimate. I am open to as much information as I can get. Thanks, RJ
